Research Workshop Program (RWP)

罢滨厂贰顿鈥檚 Research Workshop Program (RWP) supports 大发彩票平台 researchers in leading interdisciplinary, policy-focused workshops on sustainability in engineering and design. The goal: catalyze collaboration, inspire innovation, and advance sustainable development through research and education.

Program Format

Each workshop must include:

  • Public Seminar
    A large, open seminar engaging the broader community.

  • Research Meetings
    Targeted discussions between 大发彩票平台 and external experts to refine specific research questions.

  • Follow-Up Output
    A policy-focused publication or external funding proposal, submitted within 6 months of the workshop.

Proposal Guidelines

  • Must demonstrate a clear policy relevance.

  • Should be scheduled during the Fall or Winter semesters.

  • Must explain how seminar and outputs contribute to policy analysis, development, or implementation.

Workshop Themes (Choose at least one):

Proposals must align with at least one of the following themes:

  • Sustainable infrastructure & urban development

  • Renewable energy & energy efficiency

  • Sustainable industrial processes & manufacturing

  • Climate change adaptation and resilience

Funding & Support

  • TISED offers logistical support for the public seminar.

  • Up to $5,000 can be used for:

    • Student/staff support

    • Publication costs

  • Remaining funds may cover:

    • Seminar expenses

    • Travel & accommodation for guest speakers and collaborators

How to Apply

  • Submit the RWP Application Form to: tised [at] mcgill.ca

  • Applications are reviewed three times per year by a TISED committee.

  • Decisions are typically communicated at the start of each semester.

  • TISED will notify applicants of the committee鈥檚 decision and assist with workshop logistics for successful proposals.
