Community impact mitigation measures

Noise

Noise-generating work will be carried out in accordance with current municipal regulations:

  • Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (when required)
  • Sunday: No work

Vibration

  • Vibration limitations have been imposed on contractors. Their work methods will be adapted to comply with these limits.
  • Installation of 27 seismographs for continuous vibration monitoring.
  • Seismographs will be added around the site (south side of Avenue des Pins, east side of University Street).
  • Establishment of a threshold to be respected for highly sensitive buildings: historic and protected structures or already deteriorated structures.

Dust

  • Street cleaning with mechanical broom
  • Use of water to suppress dust during deconstruction of concrete structures
