This month, an article was published by the College of Family Physicians of Canada that reinforced what most of us already knew: there is no replacement for a family doctor! Specifically, the research found that Canadian patients are significantly more comfortable receiving care from family doctors they know and primary care teams that feature family physician expertise, versus a non-physician care provider. We can all feel inspired and grateful for this confirmation as we continue our clinical work, our patient advocacy work, and our research. .
