Joseph Levitan, DISE, Presents Kaushalam Program Study Results at SCERT Uttarakhand

The Kaushalam program, a collaborative initiative between the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Uttarakhand and the Udyam Learning Foundation, aims to cultivate 21st-century life skills and an entrepreneurial mindset among students in Uttarakhand. A comprehensive study conducted during the 2024–25 academic year assessed the program's impact on Grade 9 students across seven districts. The research focused on core life skills—communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creative thinking—as well as entrepreneurial traits like self-awareness and grit. The findings revealed significant improvements in these areas among students participating in the program.
The results were presented at SCERT Uttarakhand by Associate Dean and Department of Integrated Studies in Education Associate Professor, Joseph Levitan, who led the research team. He was joined by Kunal Mishra and Asia from the Udyam Learning Foundation. Their presentation provided data-driven insights and narratives, underscoring the program's effectiveness in enhancing students' mindsets and skills.Â
The event, chaired by Additional Director Padmendra Saklani, included contributions from SCERT team members and Udyam Learning Foundation representatives. The discussions focused on strategies for strengthening and expanding the program in the upcoming academic year, highlighting a collective commitment to empowering students through life skills and entrepreneurial education.
