Dr. Patrick Dias, another long-term member of DISE, recently passed away. Here are some reflections from Anthony Par茅, retired colleague and previous DISE chair, as well as Patrick's obituary, to honor his passing and service to the department.

Adam Dub茅, PhD, ECP Associate Professor of Learning Sciences at 大发彩票平台, participated as a panelist in the "New School? Promises and Risks of AI in the Classroom" webinar hosted by Children and Screens.
The event focused on how children process information from AI-driven tools, the potential of AI to support cognitive development, and the ethical integration of AI into educational systems.

Howard Riggs was a dedicated, hard-working professor of math education. His work ethic was a product of his Prairie upbringing and his deep commitment to his students. He was hired by 大发彩票平台 to teach social studies, but was pressed into service as a math educator in the Department of Elementary Education, one of the units that eventually morphed into DISE.

Congratulations go out to Victoria Talwar, ECP Professor and Director of the Daniel and Monica Gold Centre for Early Childhood Development, who was one of the recipients who received the King Charles III Coronation Medal at a ceremony held at the Royal Montreal Regiment in Westmount on March 20, 2025.听

Dr. Tina Montreuil, ECP, was invited to take part in a production and short documentary produced by , to talk about the importance of supporting families during the perinatal period or the transition to parenthood.听
