The fundamental principles underlying Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Electron Paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) will be covered and applied to biomolecules and materials chemistry. Fundamentals of electrochemistry and the application of electrochemical methods to chemical and biochemical problems. Emphasis is given to the study of electrode reaction mechanisms and the interpretation of electrochemical results for organic and inorganic systems. Voltammetric and coulometric methods are rigorously discussed. Several topics of interest in electrochemistry will be covered as time permits.
