Speaker: Elliott Richard Haut, MD, PhD, FACS
Dr. Elliott Richard Haut, MD, PhD, FACS, is currently serving as Vice Chair of Quality, Safety & Service in the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is a Professor across multiple disciplines including Surgery and Public Health. His research, which has earned substantial funding from agencies like the AHRQ and PCORI, centers on the diagnosis and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). A notable project includes co-chairing a NIH-funded Consensus Conference aimed at improving VTE prophylaxis in trauma patients.
