Sociologie (Arts) : Focus on rural life in North America in the context of rapid globalization and accompanying social, demographic, economic, and cultural change. Topics include rural identity, persistent poverty, gender, race/ethnicity, environmental issues, politics, economic development strategies, education, demographic decline and aging, internal migration, health, and family dynamics.
