Développement international : A history of development, focusing on the ideologies as well as the practices that have shaped how empires, governments, corporations, and individuals have sought to 'improve' the world—most often, but not exclusively, in the global south. Themes will include colonialism, gender, race, economic growth, poverty, geopolitics, multilateralism, foreign aid, south-south relations, philanthropy, and the environment.
