Lectio Divina

Join MORSL for a Lectio Divina event with Danielle Klingelhofer, a campus minister with InterVarsity International Students Ministry. Lectio Divina is Latin for 鈥淒ivine Reading.鈥 It is a Christian prayer practice with roots in reflective scripture reading, likely from around the 3rd century.聽"The text is seen as a gift to be received, not a problem to be dissected鈥.. let the text come to you" (Christopher Jamison). Lectio Divina frees us from the preoccupation with self that keeps us from focusing on others and God. For many, this is a meaningful way to experience God and spirituality.聽
Attendees don't need to be Christian or religious to take part in this event, like all our events, it is open to students of all walks of life who value religious literacy and learning about, witnessing, and experiencing diverse spiritual and religious practices and traditions.
