SEX CELLS! On the importance of sex and gender in brain health

Last week, we welcomed neuroscientists Liisa Galea (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) and Robert-Paul Juster (Universit茅 de Montr茅al) for SEX CELLS!, a vital conversation on implementing Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (SGBA+) in health research.聽
They explored how biological sex and gender identity can affect brain health, reminding us that considering sex and gender isn't just good science鈥攊t's essential. Using SGBA+ in research can reveal key differences in disease risk, treatment response and brain function, laying the foundations for more inclusive research and equitable health care.聽
