Professor Dominique Bérubé has been appointed the next Vice-President (Research and Innovation). Professor Bérubé’s five-year renewable term will begin on July 1, 2024.

The Advisory Committee for the Selection of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) conducted an extensive search within Canada and internationally, which benefitted from regular input from the �󷢲�Ʊƽ̨ community. The Board of Governors accepted the Committee’s recommendation at its meeting on December 14, 2023.

Infrastructure funding from the CFI’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund, matched by Quebec, propels research innovation at �󷢲�Ʊƽ̨
Twenty �󷢲�Ʊƽ̨ researchers have received infrastructure awards from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to support their innovative projects, for a total federal investment of $5.5 million.

These grants will be matched by the Quebec government, doubling their value.

Alan Evans named Fellow of the Royal Society
