DESCRIPTION:​Join us for a  painting workshop to celebrate biodiversity and
  species conservation with South African art educator Katrine Claassen. Th
 e workshop will start with an introduction to the Museum's endangered\, ex
 tinct and at risk species such as the Passenger pigeon\, the Labrador Duck
 \, the Eastern Cougar and the Carolina parakeet. The main part of the work
 shop is a painting lesson to remember lost species. Participants will crea
 te a work on canvas using acrylic paints. Suitable for children 8 - 12 yea
 rs old.\n\nIn English.\n\nReservation necessary: redpath.museum [at] mcgil
