Heward Stikeman Chair in the Law of Taxation.\n\nAbstract\n\nWhat is the i mpact of exploitation in the supply chains of multi-national enterprises o n the appropriate allocation of corporate income tax revenue to jurisdicti ons where these enterprises are active? This presentation will develop a c oncept of exploitation based on the violation of the right to a living wag e\, put this in the context of discussions of transfer mispricing in multi national enterprises\, and consider the economic dimension of the allocati on of corporate income tax revenue in relation to public goods provision i n low-income countries where exploitation occurs.\n\nAbout the speaker\n\n Laurens van Apeldoorn is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and a member of the Centre for Political Philosophy at Leiden University\, the Netherl ands. He specialises in contemporary political theory and the history of p olitical thought. He studied at the University of Amsterdam\, the Universi ty of Edinburgh and London School of Economics before obtaining a DPhil de gree in Political Theory at the University of Oxford (2011). His research interests include early modern political thought\, in particular the philo sophy of Thomas Hobbes\, and contemporary political theory\, and more rece ntly\, international taxation in relation to global justice.
