Dr. Giada Sebastiani Receives the “Ingegno Italiano Award” from the Italian Ambassador in Canada

We are proud to share that Dr. Giada Sebastiani has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious “Ingegno Italiano Award”, presented by the Italian Embassy in Ottawa.

This national distinction recognizes outstanding contributions to science by Italian researchers across all disciplines in Canada. Dr. Sebastiani’s achievements stood out among nominees from across the country, and she will be personally presented with the award by the Italian Ambassador later this month.

Dr. Matthieu Allez Appointed to Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Welcome to Dr. Matthieu Allez who has recently been appointed to the �󷢲�Ʊƽ̨ Department of Medicine as Professor on March 1, 2025. He is in Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a member of the MUHC Research Institute. He holds the Bruce Kaufman �󷢲�Ʊƽ̨ IBD Research Chair. Dr. Allez completed his residency training in gastroenterology at Université de Paris. He spent two years for a post-doc at Mount Sinai in NY. He was Chief of Gastroenterology at Hopital St Louis in Paris.

Dr. Afif, an accomplished clinician, educator, and researcher, brings a wealth of expertise in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Gastroenterology.
